Sales reps spend a lot of time browsing potential prospects on LinkedIn 🕵️

But finding a likely lead is only step one. It takes a lot of time (and tab hopping) to deanonymize, enrich, and action on contacts once you find them.

In this playbook, we’ll show you how to enrich and take action on prospects from LinkedIn lightning-fast—and with zero screen switching.

What you’ll need:

Common Room

Step 1: Activate Chrome extension

We’d start by getting our Chrome Extension for LinkedIn fired up.

Log in to Common Room, go to Settings (the little ⚙️ icon at the bottom of the left sidebar) and click on Signals and integrations.

Next we’d click on Chrome Extension for LinkedIn and connect it.

Voilà—now Common Room will ride shotgun with us when we’re prospecting on LinkedIn 🙌


Step 2: Add and enrich contacts

Let’s say we’re trying to multithread our way into a target account.

We’re checking out our point of contact’s connections on LinkedIn and we find a likely economic buyer. We’d simply click into their LinkedIn profile page and select the Common Room logo on the right-hand side of the screen.

If this person is already tracked in Common Room—whether through product usage, website activity, or engagements across social, community, and open-source channels—clicking the Common Room logo will pull up their Person360™ profile.

From here we can get a bird’s eye view of both cross-channel behavior and firmographic fit, as well as contact information, work history, and other key details.

But let’s say we’re looking at someone who isn’t yet tracked in Common Room or our CRM. In that case, we’d simply click on the “Add contact” button at the top of the Chrome extension panel.

Our AI-powered identity resolution and waterfall enrichment will automatically uncover all available person- and account-level information and create a new profile for this person and their organization in Common Room, complete with contact details like email address and phone number.

Step 3: Take action from LinkedIn

Once the contact’s been added to Common Room, we can follow up directly from their LinkedIn profile page.
